SPRING BREAK CAMP
IN THE SEED ECOSYSTEM
Nanaimo Forest School Coop is offering a Spring Break Program for children age 5–12 in the SEED Neighbourhood Ecosystem, offering reduced rates for kids who live in the neighbourhood or go to Bayview School. You can find details and a link to registration here:

Places that will be enlivened and explored by children during the Spring Break are:
the Catstream Watershed with its forest, stream and wetland,
as well as plunge deep within Chase River Canyon where one hardly notices the city scape surrounds.
the Princess St. Forest Classroom which has transformed from a blackberry thicket into a thriving pocket forest for easy access nature connection.
In addition to adventuring and playing in these spaces, students will have the opportunity to practice caring for the land through invasive species removal and garbage removal, and tree planting.
The three food forests in the neighborhood:
Thuthiqut, Bing Kee and Bayview, containing all together over 120 fruit and nut trees, offering delicious ecosystems for children to learn how to tend to our urban forest gardens.
Last years summer camp in the SEED Neighbourhood proved it to be an ideal location for Nanaimo Forest School.
Besides the SEED Nanaimo Forest School will offer programs for children ages 3–12 at Colliery Dam (mornings of Week 1) and Linley Valley (Week 2 | March 24–28).
