In addition to adventuring and playing in these spaces, students will have the opportunity to practice caring for the land through invasive species removal and garbage removal, and tree planting.

The three food forests in the neighborhood:

  • ThuthiqutBing Kee and Bayview, containing all together over 120 fruit and nut trees, offering delicious ecosystems for children to learn how to tend to our urban forest gardens.

Last years summer camp in the SEED Neighbourhood proved it to be an ideal location for Nanaimo Forest School.

Besides the SEED Nanaimo Forest School will offer programs for children ages 3–12 at Colliery Dam (mornings of Week 1) and Linley Valley (Week 2 | March 24–28).
